Frequently asked questions

Who is the configurator for?

For manufacturers and distributors of aluminium profile systems and for builders of equipment, workstations and machine guarding who sell recurring assemblies in many size variants.

Which profile systems can be modelled?

T-slot profiles from 20 × 20 to 160 × 160 mm with slot 5 to slot 12, plus brackets, cube and automatic connectors, feet, castors, panels and doors. For your configurator we store your programme with your names and part numbers.

Do we need our own CAD data?

No. A drawing, a STEP file or a photo of the typical assembly is enough to start – we build the parametric model in confBuild.

How does the configurator get onto our website?

As an embedded area (iframe) on an existing page, as a link or button, or via QR code in catalogues and at trade fairs. Your website does not need a rebuild.

What happens to an enquiry?

Your sales team receives an email with contact details, the message and a link to the exact configuration. Optionally the enquiry is also sent to your CRM via webhook.

What do our engineers get?

A STEP model of the configured assembly, cut list and bill of materials, and drawings as PDF. They review and release instead of redrawing every variant.

Can our customers see prices?

Your call. With stored prices the configurator shows a guide price, and the bill of materials can be exported as a quote PDF with your logo.

How long does a pilot take?

That depends on the scope of the product family. In the first call we look at a typical assembly and then tell you scope and timeline.
